Sawmilling Large Timbers and Lumber
We use an LT40HDD42 Super Hydraulic bandsaw mill. It has a 42HP Kubota Turbocharged diesel engine and can handle anything we throw at it.
The bandsaw mill is capable of cutting veneer-thin layers of wood, up to a piece of lumber two and a half feet thick. It produces a finish that, depending on the intended purpose for the wood, can be used without further processing such as planing and/or sanding thus saving much time and labor for the end user.
The allure of milling for us is that we never know what we will find inside a log.
